As a young woman in a traditionally male-dominated craft, and as someone representing both British and Muslim identity, I wanted to build something that felt authentic and beautiful, something that celebrated tradition while creating space for new voices and fresh ideas. This is more than chocolate. It’s tradition. It’s identity. It’s love, poured into every piece of chocolate.

My name is Kiran Khan, and I am the founder of CHäk(ə)lət, a handcrafted chocolatier brand rooted in Yorkshire, inspired by Belgian tradition, and proudly powered by the vision of a young British Muslim woman.
I trained and qualified as a chocolatier in Belgium, where chocolate isn’t just a treat it’s an art form. I brought that world-class craftsmanship home, blending it with bold, beautiful flavours, and my own unique touch. I have a deep love for craftsmanship, flavour, and creativity. Anoosh is my passion project, a space where I blend the rich tradition of Belgian chocolate-making with my own story, heritage, and values.
